Are you a new supervisor or manager? Are you unclear about expectations in your new role? Are you an experienced manager that wants to become a great manager? Do you need to learn how to motivate disengaged employees who lack initiative? How can you be better at delegating?
Skills for New Managers Training is a great resource for both first-time managers and seasoned professionals who want to sharpen their skills. This workshop helps you to build and maintain the solid foundation of skills and behaviors you’ll need to be an outstanding manager.

Newly promoted first-time supervisors and managers; and seasoned professionals who want to sharpen their skills

Will I earn a certificate for completing this course?
Certificates of completion will be given to all students who have satisfactorily completed course requirements. Multi-course programs require satisfactory completion of all courses before a certificate is given.
Is financial assistance available for this course?
An application for financial assistance (in the form of a 10% course-fee rebate) is available to all enrolled students. If you feel you are eligible for financial assistance, please complete this application after enrolling. These are highly competitive scholarships and eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. Students deemed eligible will receive a rebate equal to 10% of the course fee paid at the time of enrollment.

What if I need to drop this course?
All PACE courses must be dropped no later than 3 business days before the first class session to be eligible for a full refund less a $50 administrative fee. Course materials are ineligible for refunds.

E. J. Smith
E. J. Smith has been fortunate to have a career that has spanned several disciplines ranging from line level production and operations management as a supervisor at General Electric Aviation; mid-level operations management at AT&T; sales and operations management at AT&T, Merck, and Tokos Medical, Inc. His experience also includes executive level management in sales, operations, and strategic planning gat Tokos Medical and HEALTHDYNE, Inc. (later known as MATRIA Healthcare). His experience spans construction projects, technology projects, performance management projects, business development research projects, as well as training projects both domestically and internationally in countries such as South Korea, Chile, Colombia, Romania, and the Netherlands. He has managed budgets in excess of $1 billion, and he has had almost 2,000 employees. His formal education consists of a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from Southern University and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.
