Lindsay Hellwig

Interior designer/Design Project Manager | Tulane University

Lindsay Hellwig has been committed to the field of interior design for 20 years. For the last ten she has worked on university interior design projects ranging from library renovations, dining halls, offices, residence halls, and more. Clients rely on Lindsay’s expertise to guide interior finishes, space planning, and furniture selection. She gained this experience working under an architect in Austin, Texas and in the specialty field of lighting design in Dallas, TX. While studying at Louisiana State University, Lindsay was fascinated by the psychological aspects of design theory and obtained her Bachelor of Interior Design degree, magna cum laude, in Interior Design. That education developed into a passion for improving quality of life which is a focus of her design projects today.

Lindsay Hellwig has won several awards in the field of University Interior Design including Best of Show for Tulane University’s interior student union renovation in 2019. She also took home three first place prizes for other projects in the same year. These honors were awarded by the Association of University Interior Design’s annual design competition. She has been an active member in the organization since 2013. From 2016 to 2018, Lindsay served as a board member of the Tulane Facilities Management and Campus Development Advisory Board. In 2019, she was also voted onto the Tulane Staff Advisory Committee. Lindsay is currently pursuing continuing education in wellness studies which is a natural progression for her career.
