James Willeford is a Lead Experience Designer with Entergy’s Innovation Group in New Orleans. He believes in helping students sharpen their craft and execution, develop their design thinking skills, and communicate the value of good design.
Previous to Entergy, James was a lead UX designer for GE/BHGE where he worked on projects to improve the safety of offshore oil engineers. Before that, he designed apps that made it easier for people to automate their smart home devices. And even before that, James helped create a digital product that simplified and streamlined the way veterans managed their mobile phone accounts. In his previous design life, James received a master in landscape architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and spent several years working for landscape architecture and urban design firms in Boston and New York City.
When James is not in front of a computer, he’s likely out for a long run, gardening or enjoying time with his wife, two dogs, and baby daughter.
